The Soul of Money Playground
Wednesday, September 6, The Soul of Money group opens. Conversations create our life, and ones about money, abundance, acquiring wealth, earning, and all those emotions that go with it for us. Let’s make it easier, to see and allow, to receive and direct its flow, to uplift and change what’s possible. We have that power and grace. Here’s a page from the book to preview.
I’m not sure how many of you know this about me, but I am a writer beyond my blog. Besides the occasional blessing of writing for Bella Grace, and the baby book I have published, I have fourteen finished manuscripts just waiting in the wings. Yup. Fourteen! Picture books, a middle grade novel, and three-fourths […]
2017 is a ‘1’ (New Beginnings) year.
Celebrity passings and personal endings–we can all name a few. In 2017, the energy shifts to one of New Chapters and fresh starts. I’m welcoming that energy of positive expectation.
I suggest Planning Tools that support this incoming energy of positive expectation, ones that uplift our spirits, and help us feel our way into our heart’s desires, dreams, wish lists, and bucket lists. Leonie Dawson has two of them–one for ‘life’ and one for ‘biz’–available in digital and hard copy formats.
In a week or so (Saturday, January 7), I’ll be leading a ‘Goals Gotta Go’ workshop at Happy Me! 2017 in Delafield. There I’ll feature some Planning Tools that are especially helpful for those who know Goals just don’t work for them… (which is many of us here)
There are other tools too. Find one that fits and fuels your spirit and life. I can help with that, if you want.
Other resources on my radar: Abraham-Hicks messages and meditations as soothing and reassuring mind medicine; Christiane Northrup, M.D.’s new book, Making Life Easy: A Simple Guide to a Divinely Inspired Life; And a creative sister, collaborator, muse or group who gets me to do this with together. I want to be such a being like that for you. A witness to our life–and sharing our thoughts ‘out loud’–inspires and empowers our living our heart’s desires.
And finally, I’ll share this inspiration from Goddess Leonie about a ‘festival of letting go’ of 2016 and making a miraculous 2017:
Hola gorgeous soul!
As this year is SO VERY NEARLY OVER… I want to wish you the most heartfelt, soulful best for 2017.
I know that this year has been a hard one for so many people.
I wish I had something wise + comforting to say right now, but all I can say is:
2016 sucked GIANT PANDA BALLS!!!
For me it’s been a year of punches that haven’t let up, over + over + over again.
And I’ve stood up again + again + again…
I’ve been broken open by it. And just plain broken by it.
I’ve been exhausted by it. And have been frustrated by it.
And now I get to let it go.
All of it.
The hard. The ugly. The brutal.
And the good that was in there, hiding its light in the darkness. I get to let that go too.
Join me in a festival of letting go.
Let’s go free into this new year that’s coming.
We’re stronger for having experienced this year, even if the experience was unwelcome.
We know what we will + won’t accept.
We are clearer. Wiser. Better equipped.
We know our resilience now.
We know our coping skills.
So, dearest soul, hand-on-heart I wish for you a 2017 that is light + ease-filled.
A year that lets you breathe.
That contains healing for your soul + nurturing for your mind + body.
Let’s make 2017 miraculous.
(Leonie Dawson, creative goddess-author of 2017 Amazing Life & Biz Planners )
Blessings, beautiful ones. I look forward to our co-creating together in 2017. We are all growing, becoming more aligned with our soul.
We’re going boldly where many fear to go this fall. Our selected book is the author’s lifetime achievement, has only been out since September 20, and has already hit the NYT Best Seller List!
I’m excited and happy for her; and having already downloaded my Kindle edition, I’m enjoying the read. As EDG community members, this is one of your membership inclusions, i.e. You get in FREE.
Tomorrow will be an open / Free info – Intro session. (Both here at KSC in the afternoon and by phone in the evening.) You are welcome to invite other goddesses to be part of this. Our series will run for 9 weeks. Call-in number is same as last time, or email me if you need it.
So looking forward to connecting and conversing again. And what a topic, hey! Please share as you’re inspired.
Also, if you don’t have the book yet, or even if you do, here’s the author’s site for a better idea of who she is and her work…and bonuses she’s still got on the table for us…
Love it! Tomorrow, Ladies. Good stuff. – Anne
… you know her…Divinity and Creativity, embracing our essence …
In her concluding words of Big Magic, author Elizabeth Gilbert leaves us with thoughtful words about this work we do:
Creativity is sacred, and it is not sacred.
What we make matters enormously, and it doesn’t matter at all.
We toil alone, and we are accompanied by spirits.
We are terrified, and we are brave. Art is a crushing chore and a wonderful privilege.
Only when we are at our most playful can divinity finally get serious with us.
Make space for all these paradoxes to be equally true inside your soul, and I promise–you can make anything.
So please calm down now and get back to work, okay?
The treasures that are hidden inside you are hoping you will say yes.
(Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic)
Our lives are sacred work… and all those paradoxes that go with it… We are blessed and blessing, human and divine, art and soul…wise women. Look in a mirror, deep in those eyes…and smile. – Anne
IMAGINE MONDAY MORNINGS for reading, writing, and meaningful conversing with women like yourself who are changing and growing, in all kinds of ways …
SUMMER is a perfect time … and the setting is heavenly!
The inspiration came over coffee one morning at a favorite beach-side coffee shop…four years ago… And every year since, women have gathered by the water; and deeper words and wisdom have been shared. It’s a beautiful thing.
2016 will be our 5th Annual Summer Beach Group Series. This summer, we’ll be revisiting Big Magic, by Elizabeth Gilbert. Specifics can be found here.
If this beckons, join me this summer, at the beach (or by phone) Mondays for some Big Magic personal conversing and connecting. Here’s a print-and-share card to invite a friend.
It’s a good time to check your calendar and save the dates. – Anne
What does in god’s image mean to someone like you and me? … Taught from early on that I am created in the image and likeness of god, and every mirror reveals a curvy, dancing, beautiful, woman’s body and being. Yep, definitely a she.
It was my mother who taught me to listen with my own ears and pay attention, to look and see with my own eyes, and use my common sense. .. to think for myself…
Vatican II brought lots of changes for those in the pews: Priests started facing their congregation instead of presenting their backside; Mass was spoken in English instead of Latin–our spoken language–so we could understand and read along with the words; Bible reading was encouraged; music changed and guitars and folk music were added; and the one that upset my grandmother the most: women were allowed on the altar–as lectors, servers, and Eucharistic ministers! Unheard of… scandalous!
And I heard my mother say to her mother, “Who do you think was the first person to hold the real body of Christ? It was no man!” There is arguably nothing more powerful than a mother’s voice and words.
These were thunder bolts that opened ears, eyes, and flood gates for me; and unlocked ancient chambers inside. My world shifted: Permission granted to read between lines and really hear and see a story happening in real life. I have ever since. I pay attention to words, readings, lyrics, and trust my instincts.
In that defining moment, my mother was taking a stand that differed from her own mother’s. She was daring to speak from her own knowing! About god stuff…
She, too, somewhere had to answer that question, “Who do you think you are?” and own a solid enough answer. I forget that my mother was in a convent before she chose a family life…
We are told to believe and think and discount a lot of things…including our divinely given body, mind, spirit, eyes, ears, brain, feelings, imagination, dreams, visions, soul, experiences…in the name of what? Why? Not to trust our self? our knowing?
Here’s MORE… and a recent find… with an open invitation to explore this ‘In God’s Image‘ concept further…adding a few more divine images to our cosmology, psyche, soul. Six booklets, 6 weeks, 6 women, 6 chairs, 6 songs. …
Blessings and much love, my beautiful ones. – Anne
Nothing can cure the soul but the senses, just as nothing can cure the senses but the soul. – Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
Good morning, goddess,
Pleasure is our focus this week on our Goddess Never Age call. Women are not often encouraged to speak boldly of pleasure, much less appreciate such earthiness as a powerful, vital element in our vibrant living, creativity, and passion … This week* explores all of that.
One of my pleasures in this series is being with and sharing with goddesses Kathy and Michelle. We have coast-to-coast represented, and what delightful connecting and conversing! Yes, we welcome other goddesses to call in and join us. Second-half living has such depth, wisdom and richness to share.
*MONDAY evening call October 5: Also, ur “Goddesses Never Age” Conference Call Group will be on MONDAY Evening, (8:05 PM Central), instead of Tuesday, for this one.
Tap in, join, explore the power of pleasure to total health, wellness, and happiness… the art and soul of living well in our time. … and a positively good read.
OCTOBER SPECIAL – My Love-Your-Life Lessons and Life-Wisdom from the WonderSpirit Collection resources will be INCLUDED with all new Everyday Goddess Community memberships. in addition to regular benefits…including Tuesday night Conference Call reading group. Women need other women …inspiring, empowering, relating, growing.
In other words, if you like what you see here, now is a really good time to join and tap in. Grow, celebrate being a feminine spirit, a goddess, finding her voice and courage, changing and becoming more clear, called, confident, a second-half wise woman. These are good.
In some Native American tribes, it was a counsel of wisewomen whose role was to advise tribal leaders before action was taken. Their gift was vision–to see seven generations back, and seven generations forward….
Wisewomen sisters, our vision and voices — our words and art, our presence and influence, our deep love and compassion — are being called forward… Every single one of us makes a difference.
Have a beautiful week, everyone. Looking forward to meeting on Monday night’s call! – Anne
… and women’s spirit, life-wisdom group.
Goddesses Never Age … written by an M.D. … a woman, who has studied more than medicine, and experienced enough life to be qualified to write all of this. If we women are going to tell stories about ourselves and desire to live well, healthy, and vibrant, let’s pick out empowering findings of science, medicine, energy, attitudes, spirit, purpose, vitality, sensuality, relationships–and explore everything that invigorates a woman to do and become that as she matures. This author does that…!
Forty or better? Have you attended a class reunion and looked around? And wasn’t it interesting how some of your classmates looked and sounded a lot more vibrant and alive than others…almost better than ever!? And others, not so much… Those engaged in something creative and meaningful and interesting to them look and sound much more alive. High-level wellness, speaking a different language, a life-engagement-focused one…
Age is a number; our physiology is changing. So are other elements of our understanding evolving. And this book includes those physiology elements, and more. It feeds my brain and spirit with what’s good for my vitality. Joy, it turns out, is good for my body! And yours!
This book is an interesting, pragmatic, encouraging read for women of a certain age, who want different; who want positively healthy stories and empowering facts and resources that integrate with present-day whole-person, body-mind-spirit, pragmatic findings. It’s a good read for us…and such a fun title to play with!
Live well and enjoy! – Anne 🙂
Complaining about anything holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you’ve been asking for. Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you’ve been asking for. Blaming someone holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you’ve been asking for. Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn’t matter what you call it; it is a refusal, not a conscious one. You’re asking; you can’t help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It’s a big question, folks: why aren’t you letting it in?
A thought to try on today… or this week… I know habits generally serve us well; others, maybe not anymore, though.
If we believe that attention to something changes its outcome–like someone cheering you on from the sidelines–then what we say and talk about, has an impact. … and leads us further in the direction of our words and thoughts. Incredible possibilities…
I’m still reading Goddesses Never Age by Christiane Northrup, M.D., and I’m delighted as she applies these more recent understandings of science and medicine and spirituality to our ever-evolving lifetimes!
Blessings, love, and beautiful surprises! – Anne
