Some subtle energy shifting changes are going on.  I know we are evolving, becoming more internal-guided and aware of intuitive direction.   We’re becoming more present in our feminine spirit and body, and her softer and subtle sensing ways of operating, knowing, connecting.

I am leaning more toward BEing than DOing.  And not planning as much….or writing as much lately either.  (It feels good to be writing now, though!)

I have found that when I push and plan and do, it doesn’t turn out as well as when I follow the muse, respond, and allow and PLAY.  … which is totally counter to basic business principles and societal messages in general…and can be a little disconcerting.  And yet, I don’t get to skip the planning and doing… they just happen after an invitation or a request or a prompting of the heart.

For me, it’s soul work.  The lesson:  Manipulation does not work; and doing it all alone doesn’t either.  Everything I do has to come from my heart and be true to who I am and what I love and what my soul came here to learn and do and be.  I cannot take shortcuts or fool the divine or miss the sacred contracts I came here to participate in.  All that has my name on it, from a spiritual perspective, is mine to fulfill.  And the other lesson is that I need to trust and know that I am and will continue to be fully supported and blessed in every way I desire and need…including the financial and material needs of this physical world, as well as the spiritual.

Like I said, soul work.  That dance of honoring the journey, ourselves (myself), internal guidance, and our real work here, asking for what we desire, and trusting it will be provided.  What helps?  Nature’s examples: Birds, butterflies, trees and flowers in full bloom after winter; Looking back at all that’s happened and been provided on this path so far; Taking note of the miracles that happen every day and remembering that experiences and support come in many forms; Keeping in touch with my spirit, Source, and others who help me do that, including each of you.  It is in BEing all of who I am that brings the rest into place.  Puzzle pieces…each one a perfect fit and necessary to the joyful, delightful, interesting, creative, dynamic big picture that is my life here.

Last month’s Goddess circle, muse and magnificence call was on Wallowing in our desires.…identifying what we desire and savoring it.  The heart has powerful, attracting energy.  What we desire from our heart has a way of coming to us.  I desired to see the Pacific Ocean and giant redwoods some day.

Last week, I found myself on a cross-country road trip from Wisconsin to California by truck, arriving in time for a side trip to the ocean and to the redwoods.  Such incredible beauty and blessing and grace…and confirmation.  What we desire from our heart, we bring to us…very quickly

The soul work in all this is so many-layered.

Last summer, I held a Monday Morning Beach Series.  I’m holding another one this year...by request.  The dates are Monday mornings, June 17 through July 29, 9:30 – 11 am at a picnic table at the beach by Brewers Two-Pewaukee.  This year’s conversation resource will be Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd.  The goddess journeys we’re on are soul work.  A conversation resource gives us a common starting place.  I know from last year that the actual conversations and connections and support experiences go way beyond.

On a Sunday morning like this one, we headed for Lake Geneva.  And something said, 'Text Stacy; let her know you'll be at her local Starbucks soon."  So I did....  And as often happens with those inspirations, what unfolded was joyful, amazing  conversations of connecting and creating.  Stacy is a colleague and friend, author, radio show producer, and speaker...and someone who energizes me every time we get together.

I’m offering a Creation Spirituality class this week for earth-honoring souls and seekers.  It’s a path and perspective that speaks of original blessing and celebrates our goodness and that of the natural world. 

I came across this treasure in my own search and studies for a woman-spirit-honoring path…one that also honored or bridged and connected, shed perspective on, the traditions I’d grown up with.  It comes out of the scriptural scholarship of Matthew Fox, who also grew up Catholic, in Wisconsin.  His work opened and cleared a lot for me.

In tonight’s muse and magnificence call, we’ll talk about the practice of “Wallowing in our Desires.“  It’s a clip from Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts.  And it’s an idea and practice that’s delightfully decadent, energizing, and inspiring….  When you’re wallowing in our desires, leave the logistical left brain, practical stuff aside….and, instead, tap into your feeling, heart and spirit sensing sides, skills.  In wallowing in our desires, we are noticing and savoring what brings us pleasure.  We bring the playful, creative, intuitive, joyful, and earthy elements out and feel them, imagine them, delight in them!

Enjoy the desires you have. Don’t edit them or say, “I love that dress, but I can’t afford it.” Just love what you love, want what you want. Take yourself shopping to places where you can just relish the enjoyment of your desires. Try on …(whatever incredible thing you’d like)! If you begin to enjoy your desires, they expand. – Mama Gena

The magnificence part of this is pleasure and delight and awareness…and much more.  When we are in the zone of pleasure and delight and savoring, we are attracting,  and attractive.  Our energy is magnetic.  Imagine that!

As a highly sensitive empathic person, I know the consequences quite well for becoming overloaded.  My adrenals and nervous system are very sensitive and when they are overtaxed, I feel lousy.  In my zest to create, do and heal, I forgot just how lousy overload feels.  I let myself fall into a place where there was no other choice but to take the steps needed to clear the adrenaline from my system and let myself recover.

The words of The Wild Woman speak to our spirit.  She’s a part of us, of all of us….

This piece of art graces a space I share.   And I take a moment to read it again when it beckons.  It begins like this:

A healthy woman is much like a wolf—robust, inventive, loyal, fierce.

February’s theme is Creation, a perfect theme for the beginning of 2013 (January felt like the clean up loose ends month from 2012).  So what does this mean for you and me?  Well, I feel like we are beginning a process of learning how to create in a whole new way.  Instead of setting a goal based on what our intellect recommends and working step-by-step to manifest it, we are learning to listen to our heart, set an intention, invoke Divine support and allow ourselves to be guided through the process of bringing this intention into physical form.
